2004 - St. John United Methodist Church
AGC EXCELLENCE IN CONSTRUCTION AWARD 2004
Community Service
Dokoozian and Associates provided general contracting services for the renovation and new construction of approximately 15,000 square feet comprised of a gym/multipurpose room, (6) classrooms, commercial kitchen, conference room, fellowship hall and restrooms.

This project reflected many diverse areas where our firm shined. We provided value engineering services that reduced project costs by nearly $500,000 while still incorporating many of the important features desired by the building committee and congregation.

Additionally, we managed nearly 150 Church volunteer laborers and carpenters throughout the construction project. New crews from all areas of the United States were incorporated into the project every two weeks. In spite of the fact that many of the volunteers were unskilled, through our careful management and safety processes, the project incurred only a few, very minor injuries.

Our efforts provided a quality project for a very satisfied client. The project was completed on schedule, under budget.
